Barber Airport Events - 2012

July 5th, 6th, 7th, & 8th 2012: EAA Chapter 82 Grass Roots Fly-In

All aircraft welcome. 

We will feature Vintage Aircraft, especially the ones made in Ohio: Taylorcraft, Aeronca and Funk. 

Fly-In Breakfast on Sat & Sun by EAA Chapter #82 at 7AM.    FANTASTIC FOOD!

    This will be the 76th Year of Taylorcraft in Alliance.  Ryan Newell and David Whitaker, along with Doug Taylor, Brian Matz, Forrest Barber and all of their families will be here to meet and greet the arrivals.   We will have activities going on here on Thursday, July 7th. for early arrivals.

     This is the 75th Anniversary of the Piper Cub.  The oldest E-2 "Taylor Cub", Serial #25 will be here. Other designs of C.G. Taylor will be featured including the "Taylor-Bird"

     We welcome ANY & ALL to arrive early that week and have some fun on Thursday too!  Thursday is Pizza night.   Friday is Fish Fry night.  Saturday night will be Beef, Pork, Chicken and ???  This will be served on the airport by a local vendor.  Sunday will close up by Noon!

      Many special forums are planned and we will have an Old Factory tour on Sat. if there is enough interest.   We will have a Movie Theater set up with a new Media projector running many loops of Aviation stuff.  Skydiving by Canton Air Sports.  Light Sport & Ultra-Lites too!

The following events are by the Marlboro Volunteers

They occur at the old Taylorcraft Factory just 2 miles south of Barber Airport.  Transportation can be arranged for the those who fly in.  Fly-overs are good too!
